I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler to explore the beautiful temples and parks nearby. The room was a delightful escape from the standard business hotels I've been in, featuring nice artistic touches like bamboo lights and providing a comfortable bed for restful nights. I appreciated the common kitchen facilities which were a great way to save on meals and meet fellow travelers. The guesthouse was a short walk away from Sanjo Street and the famous Kofuku-ji Temple, making sightseeing effortless.

spacious room, cozy kitchen, playful toys
Access to the second floor only through narrow stairs could be a real hassle!!! , Having a transparent door on the toilet is a peculiar choice that might not appeal to everyone.

The spacious twin room was warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a traditional stay. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, and I found the communal kitchen very convenient for preparing meals. However, the futon was uncomfortable for an elderly guest, and access via narrow stairs could be challenging. Additionally, the internet speed was inconsistent during peak hours, which was frustrating.

This guesthouse is perfectly located just 3-5 minutes from the JR station, making it easy to travel around. A nearby supermarket provided us with groceries to cook in the well-equipped communal kitchen. The room, while small, served its purpose for our stay. Check-in was straightforward, and the atmosphere was quiet. However, the internet was a bit slow during peak times, which was frustrating. The shower and washbasin were quite tiny, making personal care a little awkward. Overall, it offered a great blend of traditional comfort and convenient accessibility for exploring Nara, but the room size and facilities could use a bit of enhancement for a more comfortable stay.

great location but needs better amenities
The location near the train station was perfect for exploring nearby attractions. I loved the variety of games and PlayStation 3 available, which made my downtime enjoyable. Additionally, having English books and mangas at the entrance was a pleasant surprise, providing a great way to relax after a busy day.
The amenities could be improved for a better experience.

Had an awesome time with friends! The guesthouse is super close to JR station, making it easy to explore. We visited the famous temple and the park nearby, soaking in the beautiful scenery. The communal kitchen was handy for cooking, and the free tea and coffee downstairs was a nice touch. The staff were friendly, making our stay even better!
Check-in was a bit tricky since reception isn't always open. just make sure you're aware of that ahead of time.
